About me
I've been a Driving instructor since 2019 and worked with a couple of larger franchises before becoming a fully independent instructor. I became a driving instructor because I love the independence of driving and I find it greatly rewarding to teach people new skills! I'm also a father to two children; who've helped me to build my patience and teaching skills. I enjoy running, karate, playing video games and seeing my pupils hold up their Pass certificates after their test!
Grade A teaching
In September 2022; I underwent a DVSA Standards Check, all instructors must complete a standards check every 3-4 years to assess our teaching ability. Instructors can Fail, Pass with Grade B or Grade A. I successfully Passed with a Grade A in teaching ability. I also regularly attend training sessions and research new ways to improve my teaching ability to suit your needs.
Trust
When you learn to drive with an instructor; you may be getting into a car with a stranger, how do you know who is safe? As a parent I understand the fears you may have; to help alleviate these fears I have an enhanced DBS check carried out yearly. I have formerly worked in child protection and other driving roles. I teach any pupil regardless of Age, Race, Gender or Sexuality; I provide a safe space for learning at the pupils pace.
Teaching Materials
Everyone learns differently; which is why I use a variety of teaching methods and materials to aid my lessons. The best instructors adapt their teaching to the pupil sat next to them. I can also help you revise and train for the Theory test!
Lesson management
I use a top of the range lesson booking and management system called TotalDrive to make managing your lessons easy. You will be sent a link to download a dedicated app, so that you can view your future lessons, make payments, be sent reminders and track your driving progress!
